Blogger’s Living Room Holiday Tour

firstliving

Good Morning. The days are ticking by and the pressure is on before Christmas officially arrives. All the shopping craziness is already in full swing and the lines at HomeGoods and the mall are becoming increasingly obnoxious even during the day, when people should be at work LOL. I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking of keeping Christmas low key and even escaping to Vermont for a day or two. That’s still up in the air, but after the stress of the move about a month and a half or so ago, I just feel like the hubby and I need some real time to unwind. Christmas is in full swing finally in our little rustic french farmhouse however. I shared the mantel yesterday, and if you missed it, you can read the post here. Today, however I’m sharing my living room tour along with a few more of my other talented blogger friends. They are listed at the end of the post, so don’t forget to hop on over to get oodles more inspiration from them for filling your home with Christmas cheer.

centerpiece

This little stud (actually he is a reindeer). He is so majestic isn’t he…can’t tell him anything hahaha… found him at Pier 1.

corner

This nook in our house, with the chippy old door, is one of my fav spots. I think because it’s so close to the heat source and I’m always cold. Anyhow, I gave this area some Christmas loving with a mini tree, jazzed up lantern. and company from Mr. Polar Bear. I didn’t want the tree to sit in one of those mini tree stands, instead I added some farmhouse flare by standing it up in a vintage crock pot. I just adore how they look together.

lantern

To add some more texture into the space, I put some silver pine cones into the lantern and it added a bit of jazz. Why do I have the sudden urge to do jazz hands lol? Oh wait, do you know what jazz hands are? Google it.

bear

Little Polar Bear. What can I say. You had me at hello. Spotted both him (not sure why it’s a boy and not a girl) and the wood sleigh at Marshall’s. I thought they went together like peanut butter and jelly, coffee and cream, wine and cheese. OK you get the picture. They make the perfect pair and oh of course on a faux fur rug no less.

last

The shelf above the sofa was simple to decorate. I added some burlap trees I found at the Target $1 spot last year, the star from the $1 spot this year and some fresh greenery (the same greenery on the fireplace mantel in the dining room). The grey faux fur is from HomeGoods and the light cream colored faux fur pillow and the faux fur knitted throw are from Pier 1. Ive been in that store waaaay to much lately lol.

Did you enjoy the tour of the living room? I hope so. The rest of the rooms I’ll share next week. Can’t wait. Don’t forget to check out the living rooms of the other talented bloggers below.
