Speaking of going away, today I’m going to recap the mother daughter weekend Gabrielle and I had a weekend before last up at that was hosted by Foxwoods (the largest resort casino North America). Now I was never really one to go to a casino for fun as to me fun wasn’t loosing a ton of money lol. The one thing I learned about Foxwoods that weekend is that there is way more to do besides gamble and you really could have a little getaway there and have a ton of fun and get some relaxation.
SO TELL ME….WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT FOXWOODS?
I knew that the shopping would be good but seriously the Tanger Outlets had way more well known stores than I could of imagined. Both Gabbie and I got so much shopping for Christmas done it was nice to do it there as most stores were 50 % off. If that’s not a deal I don’t know what is. My favorite stores like Loft, Lucky, Nine West, and Calvin Klein just to name a few were must have visits for me. The Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods actually boasts more than 80 retail outlet stores featuring premium brands with major deals that include not only the few I mentioned but also Eagle Outfitters, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Coach, Gap, H&M, J. Crew, Michael Kors, Nike, Skechers, Steve Madden, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger and many more.
I was SUPER stoked to try Guy Fieri’s restaurant because I just love watching him on TV. (hello spiked hair). We had a ton of food there with the cocktails and dips being a fav. Even though I didn’t enjoy my favorite cheesecake from Junior’s (the strawberry) until I got home, the noodle dinner I had at Red Lantern was ummm…let’s just say perfection! You know how Chinese restaurants generally just cook the steak any ol way, not here. I knew I was in for a tender treat when they asked me what temperature I wanted my steak cooked at (the sign of a restaurant that cares about your dining experience. It was soooo good and huuuuuny, so wasn’t my Lychee cocktail (if you’ve never had a lychee based cocktail) add it to to your bucket list.
