OUR NEUTRAL COLORED GUEST BEDROOM
With Summer officially arriving next month, I’m sure many of you will be welcoming guests from out of town. It’s the season for traveling with friends and family to known and unknown destinations including your house. So how do you turn your neutral guest room into a room that looks like it might be in a boutique style hotel perfect for a mini getaway (except at home)? It’s easier than you think. Adding pops of color is a simple and easy way to do just that. I’m partnering with Home Depot again to share with you my picks on how to update a guest room by adding a pop of color. I’ve been really drawn to shades of blue recently. Blue is technically a neural color, but funny how it works as an accent color. It was the perfect color for me to use to show you simple ways of adding a pop of color.
If you saw my sunroom makeover reveal in this post, then you know just how gorgeous, well made and eclectic the home furnishings and home décor selections are that are available at The Home Depot. I’ve been really impressed with everything I’ve gotten from them and I promise you will be too. Let’s get to the inspiration and ideas that can help to transform your guest room.
One thing I always recommend that is an easy and very inexpensive change for any room is painting. Choose a paint color that reflects your personal taste and style. Accent walls can be bold or soft, either way they make the room pop and very stylish.

Other easy ways of adding pops of color to a neutral guest room is via accent home décor pieces, such as rugs, wall art and accent chairs. I’ve roundup up a few of my favorite blue accent pieces to help you get started. I also wanted to share a few of my favorite décor items juuuuuust in case you are in the market to give your guest bedroom or even your master bedroom a full makeover. 🙂

As you can see, adding a pop of color doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You can choose soft pastel colors or even go bold with say black or green. The choice is up to you. You don’t need to spend a lot to get the look of a well put together guest room. These are easy ideas to help the space you create for your visiting guests a warm and inviting one.
