HERBILICIOUS APPLE GODDES COCKTAIL WITH ALIZÉ APPLE
OK it’s been a while since I posted a cocktail recipe, well…let’s be real it’s been a while since I posted a blog post. I’ve been super busy with an intense project and if you are a follower on my Instagram page, then you know what that project has been. The Memorial Day weekend is almost here (AKA the beginning of Summer parties) so I thought this was an ideal time to serve up a tasty recipe to enjoy with family and friends all Summer long. Trust me, the below Herbilicious Apple Goddess Cocktail is one you are going to want to make.
Last year I was able to try out the Alizé Gold Passion and so I created this recipe with that. This year, I was SO excited to try out their new Apple flavor. I’ve been enjoying Alizé for years in cocktails, so this new addition to their lineup had me doing a happy dance when I found out about it. For those of you who know the Alizé brand, you know their flavors are uniquely intense and at the same time easy going down and inviting. The Alizé Apple to me is very full bodied and taste like crisp apples blended with premium Vodka (hoooooney) when it comes to cocktails, I know the good stuff lol. Besides mixing it into a cocktail, I’ve enjoyed this on the rocks as well, so if you don’t want to use mixers or blend it with juices, on the rocks is the way to go.
For my recipe, I was inspired by a recent trip to a posh restaurant in NY that used herbs in one of their drinks. So I ran with that idea. I chose basil. OK don’t freak out…you are gonna be so surprised at how the delicate flavor of the basil compliments the apple vodka flavor. It’s well balanced and let me tell you, I certainly had more than one glass after photographing this recipe. It’s that light and refreshing. - 1 cup lemonade
- 1 cup Alizé Apple
- ½ cup roughly chopped basil
- Juice of half an orange
- In a blender, blend together the lemonade, basil and juice of the orange. Remove from blender and add in the Alizé apple. Pour over ice and enjoy.
