2017 Living Room and Dining Room Spring Tour

Hi Loves, today was, let’s just say …  AMAZING! Literally it was the perfect Spring day, one I would say many of us in Connecticut have been waiting for. We had cloudy rainy days all last week which kind of put me in a funk. Am I the only one whose mood is effected by weather? Once I heard how lovely it was going to be today, I thought it would be ideal to share my living room and dining room spruced up for the light feel that comes with warmer Spring/Summer weather. The living and dining room are open to each other, so I often have to be aware that what colors and textures are in the living room, so it must be in the dining room. DESIGN TIP: Always keep cohesiveness in mind when designing open spaces. So let’s get to the little updates I’ve sprinkled around these rooms shall we.

On the fireplace I added a few of my light blue vintage glass bottles and the pretty faux lambs ear greenery I shared with many of you recently on my Instagram page.

This little nook is new to everyone. Since I’m making over my sunroom, I had to move my chair and half to the guest room. This little table and ladder where in there, so I moved them in the corner of the dining room and moved the table runner from the dining table onto this table so that the blue would still be existing in both the living room and dining room I like it here… so far…

Another change that I had to do because of the sunroom makeover is move the gray tufted chair out of it. I thought to myself “where in heavens name is this chair going now?” I think it looks pretty at home at the end of the table. This decision I really like. 🙂

I added a new stripped pillow and a blue (indigo) lumbar pillow to the sofa, as well as adding some more light blues to the ottoman in the throw I found at TJMAXX.

On the tray that is on the ottoman, I added some terra cotta pots I found at Michaels (which I shared in this YouTube Spring Decor Haul video on my YouTube channel) as well as adding some green moss and faux plants in the terrarium I found at Pier One.

My favorite corner got a Spring makeover by adding a pale blue pillow, pretty aqua candle and a oh so lovely crock of real, strikingly beautiful pale pink ranunculus. My favorite flower behind the beloved peony.

I really enjoy walking through my home on Spring days like this. The sun is bright, the windows open blowing fresh air and the home feels alive with flowers and greenery. Thank you Spring for finally arriving and staying!
