Hi Tuesday loves, I’m gearing up to take some final photos of the master bedroom makeover and I’m super excited to share all the details and photos with you on the blog next week. Fall is here and Winter is fast approaching and I can’t wait to spend some long cozy days indoors cuddled up with hot cocoa and lots of warm fuzzy throws. I also love spending time in bed on cold days (if I’m not working or blogging that is) so I’m thinking many of you do as well. I feel that bedding is super important to the overall feel of a bedroom, wouldn’t you agree. I searched high and low for the perfect farmhouse style bedspread and I found one over at Pine Cone Hill. I’ve been a fan of their luxury textiles for years, so I knew that when I went to their website to find something I wouldn’t be disappointed. The quality of their pieces, from linens I’ve owned in the past, were luxurious and well worth every dime. I feel like you get what you pay for if you are going to sleep on something over and over for years and years. I chose the Linen Mesh Bedspread in the Natural color (it also comes in Ivory) as I thought it would fit into the overall esthetics for the look I was going for. It comes packed very tight so be ready to steam (not iron) your heart away. It’s simply stunning and even more beautiful than the photos elude to. This bedspread gives me life…and the bedroom. Well since I’m sharing deets on our bedroom, I’m going to share my 3 tips for creating a cozy Fall and Winter Farmhouse style bed.
- Texture: I’m all about texture (if you are an avid reader than you know that about me already). The linen in the bedspread is heavy and I really love the mesh look of it.
- Layers: Underneath the bedspread not only are the sheets but a duvet cover to add extra warmth and coziness to the bed
- Fleece: I don’t care if its sheet or pillows or a blanket, fleece screams “get cozy with me” and so I’m using fleece pillow cases to keep my head warm. I figured the blanket and underlaying duvet was doing enough warming for my body.
I’m not quite done adding to the bedding yet, there are few more pieces I’ve picked up, just haven’t added them to the bed yet. For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you know what I’ve gotten so far. I’m looking forward to sharing with you all next week!
