HOME DEPOT DIH BEVERAGE STATION
Happy Monday loves! Remember when I said on this post that I would be sharing my project for the DIH Beverage Station with Home Depot? Well the day is here and it’s time to party…virtual style of course! I’m so happy to be sharing this with you all. This time of year, backyard parties are in full swing and this is a project that I was able to complete in just a few hours, but will be able to enjoy for years to come.
I was tasked with remaking this beverage station…and it was a challenge, but it was oh so fun!
I really enjoyed making this project. It wasn’t expensive and the tools used were very easy for me to use. This project isn’t just ideal as a beverage station but it worked as well as a floral plant holder (I tested it lol with the flowers you see here in the olive bucket).
To personalize this project, I chose to stain it vs. painting to better fit in with my design aesthetic. I used the quick drying stain from Minwax in the walnut color that I found at Home Depot in the paint section of the store. Because I wanted a more rustic feel to the station, I chose to cut and add some pieces of old barn wood that was in the garage. Finally, I really wanted a spot to put napkins and/or a dish towel. Initially, I wanted to use plumbers piping but couldn’t find any that fit the width of the piece. Instead, I searched Home Depot and came upon these nice looking metal handles in the aisle where door knobs/handles etc are sold. They fit perfect!
Loves you have to make this…it’s so easy and quick and super fun. Grab some girlfriends and head to your closest Home Depot.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, Home Depot never fails when it comes to inspiring us DIYers. They have workshops at all of their locations for you do-it-yourselfers out there and they are all FREE!!! You can visit www.workshops.homedepot.com to learn more.
You can attend your local Home Depot’s workshop and make your very own Beverage Station after this virtual party. It’s a fun time to grab some girlfriends and make it a girls night out!
