Currently Binge Watching – Winter 2020 Edition

I think winters were made for bing watching on streaming TV. I’ve been soaking in a few new favs over the past few months. Let’s be real, my schedule is so busy I don’t necessarily have a  bunch of time to Netlix + Chill but when I do, I like to soak in some good ol TV that takes me away if even just for a little while. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite shows I’m currently binge watching.  Some are great for just us girls and others I think are good to watch with the man in your life. We all know how men can be with there TV

YOU: NETFLIX

A thriller everyone seems is obsessed with, and if you are not yet, you should be. You is about a this guy who becomes obsessed with this girl and who will do ANYTHING for love. Crossing paths with a beautiful her, he does everything to get her attention, using social media and the internet, and any source and outlook he can to get close to her… which means going above and beyond to remove anything and anyone that might stand in his way of her. It’s a thriller and there are 2 seasons now to catch up on.

VIRGIN RIVER: NETFLIX

I didn’t know before I fell in love with this series, but it’s based on some books of the same name. Seeking a fresh start, Mel, a nurse practitioner answers an ad to work as as midwife and nurse practitioner in a remote Northern California, Virgin River. Thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories behind, only to discover, the small remote town she moved to its as quiet and simple as she thought upon moving. She must learn to heal herself from her past before she can truly make Virgin River her home.

MESSIAH: NETFLIX

A thriller that will make you say ….huuum. It’s one of those shows that draws you in from the first episode because the story line develops so quickly. This is one story we have truly enjoyed watching unfold. CIA officer investigates a charismatic international guy whose followers believe he can perform miracles; he may be a divine entity or a dangerous con artist. You will have to tune in to see.

Netflix messiah

SERVANT: APPLE TV+

OK I think I’ve seen everything movie M. Night Shyamalan directed so I knew what I was in for when I found out he was behind this series. If you’ve seen his movies, you know what I mean. A couple loses their first born, Jericho, at just thirteen weeks. Still grieving, the couple buys a “reborn doll” – which in theory, is totally life like, looking exactly like their son that just passed away, in hopes that it will help the mother, Dorothy to cope. Dorothy even hired a nanny to take care of the doll. Things start getting weird when Nanny, Leanne, starts to treat Jericho, like a real baby. The weirdness does not stop there. This show will have you in awe, wondering “What the heck am I watching? Did that really just happen?” The entire time. It is definitely, a psychological thriller, very M. night and I would say must see.

TRUTH BE TOLD: APPLE TV+

Octavia Davis is at it again, bringing life and complexity to the character she portrays. Remember Jesse from Breaking Bad, well he is back playing a roll that seems like it was made for him. Outstanding acting and suspense. She wants the truth, she wants justice. Poppy Parnell, wants the truth behind what happened, no matter who tells it, and she wants justice, no matter who it is for, or against. Parnell is called to investigate the case of a convicted killer, Warren Cave, a man she incriminated after he murdered the father of identical twins. Parnell must decide where the lines between guilt and innocence lie when Cave claims that he was framed for the crime.

SEE: APPLE TV+

Well can I just say Jason Momoa, had me from the poster. Um yeah he is total eye candy, but he brings something to his roll that I’m not sure could have been given justice by anyone else. See is a journey in drama where a virus has pretty much wiped out much of the human race, but lucky for the future of humans twins are born with the gift of sight but that isn’t always a good thing. Tune in to see what I’m talking about. Get through episodes 2/3 and it will all really start to get good.

It’s been a great winter watching these

I am watching the same exact series. Messiah and the Servant are my favorite. I love the kitchen in the Servant and the food looks so yummy even if it sounds disgusting!! I actually love the house. I love the house on Virgin River, too. I teared up while watching the Virgin River because my husband passed away like hers. I also watched The Witcher. It was pretty good. Did you watched the Morning Show? I think you would love it!!!
