DIY Rustic Napkin Rings

Thanksgiving is next week! Are you ready? I am but then I’m not. You know what I mean right. Somethings are set in stone and ready to go and then you have things that you are like should I do or not do? One thing for sure is that people will be eating and wouldn’t it be nice to make a pretty place setting for them. How about an easy rustic DIY napkin ring. All you need is the following:

needed

2-3 rolls of cardboard paper towel rolls (save used ones), a glue gun, 2 inch twig napkin rings (found at Michaels) and rope (also found at Michaels)

collaGE1

1. Cut your paper towel rolls into 1 1/4 pieces. Feel free to use a ruler to mark. 2. Cut the rope into pieces long enough to make it all the way around the paper towel circles you just cut up.

COLLAGE2

3. Slip on the twig ring and glue the rope along the edges. 4. Next add the cut up rope on top of the glue along the twig ring. Cut rope as needs so the two ends meet up evenly.

NOTES: Make a mock ring. See what measurements work for you. You may need to trim along the way. Don’t be afraid. That’s what the mock ring is for.

I found this ring from Pier 1 for $3.95 ( mine cause .68 to DIY) to me the half hour to 45 mins it takes to make these is well worth the money I will save.
