Well it’s been some time since moving into the house and every room is being tackled little by little. The mudroom, although not the most glamorous space, is often times one of the most utilized. My thoughts on a mudroom you ask? I’m not sure you really asked, but in my opinion, I think if you haven’t done so already in your home, you should show it some love. Make the style and feel of your mudroom an extension of your home.
Think like this…you know how an invitation sets the tone for a beautiful and well thought out party/celebration? A mudroom sets the tone for what people will see in your home.
Now let’s get to the details of this fabulous makeover shall we…The mudroom started out the same yellow color as the outside of the house, but I wanted it painted a more welcoming and calming color on the wall. I painted it one of my favorite colors from Benjamin Moore called Quiet Moments. The cemented floor was dirty and QUITE dingy with age and wear. To brighten and refresh the floor, I painted it a blue gray color that complimented the wall color. I used the paint and patio paint made by Behr. The floor color is called Silver Spur and the white trim paint color is White Dove from Benjamin Moore. Ready to get to the good stuff? Keep scrolling…
