Summer Beauty Favorites

Is anyone else shocked that we have reached the end of July so quickly? Where did the summer go? Thankfully, we still have several weeks left for fun in the sun, so I thought it would be perfect timing to let you all in on my Summer Favorites, before it’s too late! So here it is… these are a few of my favorite things!

  1. EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm + SPF 15

These bright and colorful lip balms are my favorite way to moisturize and protect my lips during the summer months as it has SPF 15 UVA/UVB protection, and as an esthetician, I advocate for the use of sunscreen any and everywhere that needs protection.

  1. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

As a professional celebrity makeup artist, I am constantly looking for the best of the best when it comes to cosmetics. When it comes to lippies, we all want great color, and we want it to last. This one is PERFECT for those long sunny days out at the beach, when you just want to add a pop of some color that will last! It also goes easily from day to night.

  1. The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Scrub

If you feel like your skin needs some invigoration, this mojito scented scrub will certainly do the trick! A little blast of this zesty, refreshing, Limited Edition Virgin Mojito Body Scrub will invigorate tired skin by lifting away dead skin cells and preparing your skin for the moisture it deserves! It leaves a slight tingle as it gently exfoliates, and the scrubbers are not too gentle, not too harsh-I swear, it is juuuuust right! Made with the extract of Caribbean lime and mint, you will inhale mojito, scrub a dub, dub, and exhale with smooth and refreshed exfoliated skin!

  1. Nars Bronzing Powder

For all you contouring addicts / tan faking Glammies out there – this bronzer is a favorite of mine, and absolutely a MUST HAVE, year round, hands down. It’s literally your private source of endless summer for your face. All shades are deeply pigmented, and blend beautifully for a bronzed and flawless look. For an instant and natural looking tan that will wash off easily at night, this will soon be your GO TO summer favorite too!

  1. Sandra Downie Citrus Beauty Mist

Wakeup to the scent of sunshine and citrus all summer long…well all year long actually. This all-in-one beauty mist is just what you need to GENTLY exfoliate your skin. It can be used both on the face AND body and contains soothing ingredients like aloe juice and chamomile in addition to gentle exfoliators like malic and lactic acids that help to brighten and even the skins texture. Works AMAZING for those that suffer from eczema.

  1. Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to eyeliner, I’m not the biggest fan of looking like a racoon at the end of a warm summer day. Whether you are at the beach, attending a summer party or heading out to a romantic dinner date. You want your makeup to last. Aqua eyes is a eyeliner that is water proof and will stay in place even when the dog days of summer come nipping at your door. It’s safe for even those with sensitive eyes and comes in the pretties and I mean pretties shades imaginable.

  1. Jergens Natural Glow

So this obviously is not a favorite for myself, as I clearly do not need (or want) to tan my skin. (I’m a  esthetician for cryin’ out loud and lord knows I don’t need tanning LOL) But for all of you out there with lighter complexions, that want a summer glow year round, or a ‘safe’ glow for the summer without the harmful rays from the sun – this- I promise- will be your new best friend. I’ve had many of my lighter complected clients swear by this and I’ve seen it in action. It’s formulated to be moisturizing and to give you a quick and easy application for gradual tanning with no streaking, mess, or fuss. So skip the sun or play less in it, put on a daily SPF, and keep your skin healthy for years to come.

  1. Boscia Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil

When it comes to cleansing the skin, I always recommend to my clients that they cleanse their skin twice. Why you ask? Because the first time you wash your face, you are removing the oil, dirt, makeup and pollution. The second time you cleanse is when you are actually cleaning your skin. What I love about this cleaning oil is that it is a gently yet effective way to breakdown makeup and grim without drying your skin out or clogging your pores. Like hellllloooo, this product is a no brainer when it comes to using it for healthy and beautiful summer skin.

So what are you waiting for. Check these top picks out and see how you might incorporate them into your beauty routine.
