In My Beauty Bag: Janurary Finds

I’m late with posting my January beauty finds. Its been crazy and when I say crazy, I mean crazy around here. January was certainly a golden month for me when it comes to finding new beauty products that tickled my fancy. So let’s dive in shall we, I won’t keep you beauty divas in suspense any longer.

I love YSL and while at their counter I discovered 2 AMAZING new products that I won’t do without. The Black Opium perfume smells sweet and oriental and sexy all rolled into one. The scent lingers and lingers and I’ve gotten compliments every time I wear it. There are tones of vanilla, patchouli and orange blossom. Heavenly scented I tell you. The Touche Éclat Blur Perfector is a game changer, plus the packaging is pink 🙂 I struggle with oil in my t-zone, especially when I wear makeup and this mulit-action balm not only softens and blurs the skin like a transparent foundation to minimize the look of pores but it instantly takes away the shine. I used it both on my skin before makeup sometimes and throughout the day when I’m shiny. Two snaps indeed.

Fresh is known for their body products and they don’t disappoint with their lip products either. I really love lip treatment in the Honey color. Not only does it have SPF to help protect thin delicate skin on the lips, it leaves a pretty neutral color on my lips that goes well with my complexion worn day or night. It’s a neutral tone that works for everyone…trust me.

The acrylic boxes are SO cute and perfect for storing beauty products. They are under $10 each at Forever 21.

This time of year hand cream and I are total BFFs. I usually use the L’Occitane shea butter hand cream, but had to take home with me the Happ & Stains hand cream I found at Anthropologie. It smells really good and leaves my hands not to greasy!

OK let’s talk about my FAVORITE beauty find shall we. I have been a  HUGE fan of Kate Somerville skin care for as long as I can remember. It’s a line that is results driven and keeps my skin well balanced and looking healthy. As an Esthetician and Makeup Artist by day, encouraging healthy skin is something I believe in. Exfolikate is my go to exfoliator and I use it 2 times a week. (a must do for anyone over 30). So when Kate launched a cleanser  called Exfolikate Cleanser, using the same enzymes that are in Exfolikate, I new I had to try it. EVERYTHING is perfect about this cleanser. It doesn’t leave my skin tight, it smells wonderful, it removes my makeup and a little goes a long way. Well worth every dime.

I hope you try some of these, I really love them all and know you would too!
