Mother’s Day Story with Brookside

This post is sponsored by The Hershey Company. All opinions are my own Mother’s Day is one of those days that doesn’t fill me with joy each year. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 14 years old and my whole world changed. When my daughter was born, it was only then that I realized just how special the mother/daughter relationship really is. I cherish the relationship that Ihave with her so much. She drives me crazy at times but I couldn’t fathom the thought of not having herin my life. She is like sunshine on a rainy day, presents on Christmas and chocolate on strawberries.

Speaking of strawberries, there is no doubt that chocolate goes with fruit, right? Making chocolate covered strawberries is something that my daughter and I enjoy making together. One year for Mother’s Day, when she was in her late teens, she tried to make me some as a surprise. Bless her heart, theydidn’t come out as good as she wanted and she was so sad. You know I had to give her tons of hugs andkisses to let her know it was the thought that count. A few days later I jokingly suggested she just buyme some chocolate covered fruit next time. We both had a good laugh.

BROOKSIDE Chocolates would have certainly been a winner in my book if she gave them to me thatMother’s Day. I could eat a whole bag of their chocolate covered fruit in a whole day if I wasn’t careful. What I love about enjoying BROOKSIDE Chocolates is the quality of both the fruity centers inside and thedark chocolate on the outside. I don’t ever feel bad about eating BROOKSIDE Chocolates because I don’tget that sugar rush and feel all weird inside because the chocolate is that good. I can’t really say I have afavorite flavor as I love them all. I hope Gabbie reads this post because I’m hoping for Mother’s Day their chocolate will be on her list!
