Hi loves! Guess what I’m super excited to share with you all tonight? The Rustic Life is now taking submissions. That’s right… I want to see how YOU live a rustic life. Do you love vintage, rustic, farmhouse, boho-chic, cottage interiors? If you do…guess what… you are not alone. I want The Rustic Life to be an inspirational; source for all who visit. Visit the contact page for submission guidelines. OK now onto the first feature. This comes from Jennifer Miller right here in my beautiful state of Connecticut. She inspired this new idea for the blog because once I saw the bedroom makeover she did for her son Dominic, I KNEW I had to share it with you all.

In her own words:

“Dominic’s room was done due to his love for anything junk, lol!! His 8th birthday was fast approaching and we didn’t know what to get him! Dominic, like my husband and I love flea markets, swap meets, and tag sales!  So we decided the week of his birthday that we were going to surprise him with a room make over!  We dropped him off at school one morning at 8:40 and started his room! We had til 4:30 to finish the room! So my husband starting painting and I went shopping!!!”

All I have to say is WOW! Dominic is one lucky boy! Not only did he get a pretty cool bedroom makeover, mom even gave him a stylish new bathroom. I’m really loving all this and I know he is too!

I’m ALL about storage when it come to children’s rooms. I LOVE how she maximizes this with the use of lockers and shelving with boxes and bins.

I use mason jars to organize my bathroom items as well and even in a kids spaces, this makes a functional yet aesthetically pleasing choice for staying organized.
