In My Beauty Bag: December Finds

Hoping you all had a merry and blessed Christmas yesterday. As an esthetician and makeup artist by day, and blogger by night, I figured it was time I shared a series dedicated to how I’ve made a living for the past 10 years…beauty. Every month I will share my favorite beauty finds in this series called In My Beauty Bag. December brought lots of trips to the mall shopping for loved ones didn’t it. Just like me, I’m sure during some of those shopping excursions you did a few “one for you and one for me” moments. How could you not with all the awesome sales going on. Being the beauty junkie that I am I know I did. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite beauty finds with you all.

LEFT TO RIGHT: I’ve been looking for a liquid lipstick that has intense color that also hydrates and can I tell you just how much I am loving this Dior Addict Fluid Stick. The color is just right for the winter months and it doesn’t leave my lips feeling sticky. I hate sticky lips. This shade is number 893 Trompe L’Oeil and I think it will look good on all skin tones. Speaking of lips, this lip polish and advanced therapy lip treatment from Fresh, leaves my lips so kissably soft, it’s crazy. Just like you exfoliate the skin on your body to let moisturizers penetrate deeper, you need to exfoliate the thin skin on your lips too. The sugar grains aren’t to big so you can exfoliate with ease. With winter sneaking up on us you will want that lip balm to do its job and this duo will be your partner in crime in helping with chapped lips. I love J’adore from Dior and I have Miss Dior Eau de Parfum so I thought I would try the Miss Dior Eau De Toilette. It’s light and fresh with hints of jasmine and patchouli, it’s very pretty. I think I will wear it more in the warmer months, but I’m glad I picked up a bottle. You would surely love it. Last but not least I own a few of the YSL Volupté Sheer Candy Lips Balms (think lipstick meets lip balm) well I’m crushing on this shade. It’s a pale pink tone that layers nicely over many of my current lipsticks. These hydrate deeply as well as being loaded with fruit extracts rich in vitamins and antioxidants (hooray for good skin care ingredients). A simple and classic addition if you are looking for something sheer but elegant. This shade is number 12 Framboise Craquante.

I’m looking forward to sharing my beauty finds with you next month.
