Happy Tuesday loves. You know when you have a space in your home on the wall that needs “a little something” but you can’t find it. Well, that’s what happened above my communicaiton dresser in my kitchen. I have been searching for a few months now, in and out of the stores, just looking for “the one”. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to hang above my tea towel and apron rack, I just new I would love it whenever I saw it.
So there I was, in HomeGoods, looking for bedding for the guest room, and I just happen to take a detour down the sign aisle. I went down one aisle and up the other. Into the last and 3rd aisle I went casually looking and out of the corner of my eye, I see this plain piece of rustic wood flipped over. Of course anything wood and rustic would peek my interest. I moseyed on over flipped the piece over and my eyes lit up with excitement. I knew right there and then I found the perfect little piece of art for my rustic French farmhouse kitchen. Everything was perfect about it from the size to what it said to the color of the wood. I knew I wanted a wood piece in the the kitchen that had a more rustic feel that would contrast the traditional color of the oak cabinets. This one, with its’s beautiful brown tones, I thought would stand out nicely. I was right.
It came home with me and was hug that night by the hubby. Yeah for fresh eggs. Don’t you just love to find things that you weren’t even looking for. It’s the BEST!
