Our Sunroom

how to decorate a sunroom

Loves, we are really enjoying our new home. Like really. One of the spaces that made us really fall in love with calling this place home for a few years was the sunroom. We had one before in our much bigger house and I spent HOURS at a time out there. There was nothing like waking up in the morning and seeing the sun shining that day. I instantly knew I wanted to wake up and have breakfast out there. The sunroom provides us expanded living space and allows us to see more of the outside from the comfort of our home. Pure bliss on a beautiful day. Initially, I wanted  to put a daybed like this, this this or even this fancy girl one out there. I’m a pillow hoarder (I’ll admit a pretty pillow will stop me in tracks) and I wanted a daybed full of pretty pillows and throws, but while we were moving in, our Four Seasons chair and a half, had no place to really go except into that room. So there you have it. The decision against the daybed was made for me. I was sad initially, because as a home stylist I had a “vision” and it all came crashing down in that moment when the movers had to put the chair and a half in there. I’m not sad anymore because I spend many mornings in there reading my bible, drinking coffee or tea and catching up on emails. It’s a room that will be getting lots of love and use over time.

I wanted to put little lovely things on the coffee table that put a smile on my face. I love my collection of vintage blue bottles, books and candles. All found a home there.
