My Winter Wonderland Sunroom Holiday Tour 2017

Happy Monday loves, it was quite the busy weekend after getting back from a week in New Jersey. I always say there is no place like home no matter how fancy a hotel/resort is. Today, after giving little peeks over on my instagram page into my holiday decor, I’m happy to share the Winter Wonderland theme I’ve dreamed up. I was starting to doubt this theme after picking up some pieces from the new Hearth and Hand collection at Target, but I’m glad I didn’t. I was inspired months ago for this theme after walking into my local West Elm store and seeing a pile of textiles. I knew instantly that those were the colors I wanted to use for holiday décor this year. They were soft and pretty and elegant all at the same time. It’s hard dreaming up a new color scheme/theme each year isn’t it. I’m so happy with how the sunroom came out. My daughter will be home for the holidays and this is her favorite room in our home. I’m sure she will enjoy every minute she is in there.

I fell in love with these frosted branches when I saw them at Michael’s. I knew they would be perfect for my vintage crock.

how to decorate for christmast

The PEACE pillow was a purchase last year (I can’t remember from where) and the tree top table on the side was a purchase from Nordstrom last year. The rustic reindeer I bought this year from the Target dollar spot. The plaid throw was also a purchase last year from Target.I hop

The blue pillow I purchase this year from Target. It was the PERFECT shade of blue/grey that I was looking for. The knitted pillow I got from Pottery Barn a few years back and the knotted one from HomeGoods.

Last minute I decided to add a tall skinny Christmas tree in the corner. It needed something and Michael’s was having a big sale on its trees and ornaments. So off I went yesterday and I’m so happy this little guy will be bringing a festive touch to the sun room. I thought about getting another flocked tree but this cashmere one (not it’s not real cashmere LOL) I just fell in love with. The texture and color would bring another texture into the space not already seen. Mixing up your trees is a wonderful way to add visual appeal when two spaces are open to one another.  I LOVE the glittery blue/gray ornaments I found there too.

I love the pretty glow this little tree puts in the room at night. I hope you enjoyed this tour of the sun room and that you are inspired to bring some holiday cheer to your home.
